GLITZ: No, they were a maroonish ...color....lol So mad at myself, but I jsut bought two pocketbooks from them and an IPAD so not buying flowers this year...Real reason is my ankle was torn four months ago and just mending so that would curtail the activity...Next year...lol

GLITZ: lol...not too much talent growing flowers...lol, but I love them and give them tons and tons of TLC...Even talk to them....(no joke)...I got them from Cottage farms or Roberta's and ...forgot, but know they said they would take the shade well...or I wouldn't have purchased them. I didn't get too many, however...But the ones I did get were beautiful...Do Star lillies sound right to you? Forgot!!

BAMAJ1 Wish I liked brussel sprouts...tried them every which way...lol NANCYJEAN: Tried asparagus everyway as well....Just can't develop a taste for either but I do love other veggies roasted ..etc. ..YUM!!!

GLITZ: Hi..miss you posting on the Pottery board...Don't be a stranger....I will try the purple asparagus from the farm in the Spring....Glad I am not the only one who doesn't like asparagus...lol Yuck! I love broccoli, however. In fact, like all veggies but brussel sprouts...and asparagus...oh/ also kidney beans...yuck..lol..Hope everyone is having 'fun' preparing for the Holidays....Anticipation and the 'journey' for me is half the fun! GLITZ...Made any cookies...I made a boatload....Wish I could eat as much but seems the weight wants to join the cookies, but I do it anyway...for the Holidays and then back on a weight release program...Not as much fun!

THANKS, bamaj1....I will see if I can find it on the net....and adjust it , if it doesn't sound as good as yours did.....Lucky gal with all those key limes....Going to check out the super market and see if they sell them....Are key limes sweeter than regular limes...wondering...Thanks again bamaj1..and you ought to be praised for almost 13 plus years of helping people day in and day out with antiques....Seriously!!

I would imagine one can use about 2 tsps of lime zest...and poke holes in top of pound cake and a good facsimile....Going to try it...I know Trader Joes has a lemon lb cake and it's almost wet, it's so filled with lemon juice...Back to Garden talk..sorry!

NANCY...lol...Oh, it grew alright, but IT IS spidery....and a bush I have not grown out of it....Just put it in a window and grew like crazy ..about one and one half foot tall....and keep clipping it....so we'll see when I put it out on deck....

NANCY: Beautiful yard and garden.. Talking about herbs, Nancy, I was amazed that basil grew in this teeney little pot in my window..almost overtook the window....with no sun...Just a lot of light! Anyone ever try those topsy turvey tomato hangars .....Wondering if they need to be watered dailey...so I hear??? Thank you!

IRENE: I was amazed that they grew.....Got them from Cottage Farms on QVC....Have tons of luck with Cottage Farms....I purchased the same two years ago from Home Depot and they didn't bud at all.....The pumpkin was a teeney one.....and well, herbs seem to grow anywhwere, but , nonetheless, made me feel good....Have a good night now..

Glad he is over the flu....Thank him for creating this....I only have a deck garden but did grow begonias...and star lillies...and a pumpkin last year.....This year I plan to do peppers....herbs...Grew basil and oregano last year on windsill so will replant...Have a nice day now!
